Nothing out of the ordinary. Guys I am serious in zero creativity lately. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it is the end of the school year and I am just exhausted. I am glad I was able to at least put a few up using the stamp.<br />
<br />
I can't wait to see what surprises Lil Bees Boutique's Kit is for next month!<br />
Hugs to all!<br />

<br />
I can't put this stamp down!!! It is very cute and although I am not feeling very creative lately I just want to create cards with this awesome stamp.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zRuPT9WuPpE/T4r-FvnCS-I/AAAAAAAABFM/GDssci70m7M/s1600/Thanks-a-Bunch-Simple-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zRuPT9WuPpE/T4r-FvnCS-I/AAAAAAAABFM/GDssci70m7M/s320/Thanks-a-Bunch-Simple-1.gif" width="240" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Yes, I am back to basics... look at this card. no ribbon no nothing. But I loooove it. I really do it is a simple card. what is killling me is the jar and how the sentiment doesn't really go with it. I just couldn't come up with a cool one... Ohh well, I still like it. Any suggestions on how to get the best of this stamp?<br />

<br />
I have been a little frustrated. I have not being able to put together a card that I really love. I decided to publish it here.I find that sometimes it helps my creativity.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Sn6SfSU40FM/T4nOSCLRhaI/AAAAAAAABFE/nNUoR-a1dZs/s1600/Thanks+a+Bunch+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="113" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Sn6SfSU40FM/T4nOSCLRhaI/AAAAAAAABFE/nNUoR-a1dZs/s320/Thanks+a+Bunch+3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> I have used Lil Bees' kit from last month to create this card. It wasn't easy it felt as if I was going back to basics, back to window cards and frames... but I needed it to get this out my system and carry on.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-utUHe3As7iM/T4nNmUWlKsI/AAAAAAAABEs/A_dNoV71NZk/s1600/Thanks-a-Bunch-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-utUHe3As7iM/T4nNmUWlKsI/AAAAAAAABEs/A_dNoV71NZk/s400/Thanks-a-Bunch-1.gif" width="317" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Just like the previous card I use the same canvas.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-D4ppI4LNqiY/T4nNoX4sWLI/AAAAAAAABE0/Ugg8PqOEP7Y/s1600/Thanks-a-Bunch-2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-D4ppI4LNqiY/T4nNoX4sWLI/AAAAAAAABE0/Ugg8PqOEP7Y/s400/Thanks-a-Bunch-2.gif" width="227" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
My Spring Break is passing by fast... too fast :( I have some time today to whip this card together. I used part of the kit from <a href="http://lilbeesboutique.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Lil Bees Boutique</a>. Keep checking her <a href="http://lilbeesboutique.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">blog</a> out for the latest in techniques and amazing kits.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9_BbtGHG040/T3mEY7hd_rI/AAAAAAAABEM/MgJK7Q7USuY/s1600/Thanks-Berry-Much-5.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="120" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9_BbtGHG040/T3mEY7hd_rI/AAAAAAAABEM/MgJK7Q7USuY/s320/Thanks-Berry-Much-5.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the lovely Dear Lizzy + American Craft Stamp from the Neapolitan collection. I used the Stampin Up Real Red ink pad and stamped twice to get the two fabulous colors on the jar.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lNI1FoT-G9I/T3mESdyIquI/AAAAAAAABD0/sVW-F4T5zfU/s1600/Thanks-Berry-Much-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lNI1FoT-G9I/T3mESdyIquI/AAAAAAAABD0/sVW-F4T5zfU/s320/Thanks-Berry-Much-1.gif" width="250" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I also used the Rich Red embossing powder from Ranger. Doesn't that look like real jelly? on the word "berry"? Looooove it. I also used their black version of it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UGnK61abMGM/T3mEcOLkHQI/AAAAAAAABEU/XOU_0lrad6s/s1600/Thanks-Berry-Much2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UGnK61abMGM/T3mEcOLkHQI/AAAAAAAABEU/XOU_0lrad6s/s320/Thanks-Berry-Much2.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">... and here is the whole card. I can't stop using the kraft cardstock. it is like a face of my crafting life where I can't stop using it as if there is no other background color that would work on any layout or card. This too shall pass in the mean time I will enjoy it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
Yes, Lil Bees kit for March is out and there are lovely colors on it. Check them out!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-59U685wAOBs/T265xQgiIlI/AAAAAAAABCU/_vlimgR6v2A/s1600/Lil+Bees+mothers+day+kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-59U685wAOBs/T265xQgiIlI/AAAAAAAABCU/_vlimgR6v2A/s320/Lil+Bees+mothers+day+kit.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Have you ever done back stitching?I have done it on real embroidery but not often on cards let alone layouts. So here is my first stitched layout. I didn't learn this by myself. I have to admit I got the inspirations from so many other bloggers and scrapbookers. Here is a link to a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GFFTgKay8g" target="_blank">back stitching tutorial</a>.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">There is the Sew Easy you can buy it from Lil Bee's Boutique if you wish to give this a try but sometimes you don't have on hand such a big image as the one I sew on my layout. So I traced it myself and I loooove the results here are the images.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QOTT_ZdoypM/T3aBpIcp7XI/AAAAAAAABDM/iue8GQZaEqo/s1600/Moms-are-Special.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QOTT_ZdoypM/T3aBpIcp7XI/AAAAAAAABDM/iue8GQZaEqo/s400/Moms-are-Special.gif" width="315" /></a></div> I am loving the kits for this month. lovely colors and great quality products.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h1Rz_u9KPUY/T3aB0uIKFmI/AAAAAAAABDs/w5qmtSEFSig/s1600/Moms-are-special-2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="152" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h1Rz_u9KPUY/T3aB0uIKFmI/AAAAAAAABDs/w5qmtSEFSig/s320/Moms-are-special-2.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you owned a sewing machine by all means use it for some cool stitches but I had fun creating this layout and stitching it by hand.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oNxpLJnZGXI/T3aBwUluMUI/AAAAAAAABDc/5UE6NOHiBz0/s1600/Moms-are-Special-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="158" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oNxpLJnZGXI/T3aBwUluMUI/AAAAAAAABDc/5UE6NOHiBz0/s320/Moms-are-Special-1.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Are these colors cool or what?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Hugs!</div>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-63261231600447890122012-03-15T09:56:00.000-07:002012-03-15T09:56:34.381-07:00Thank You "Vintage"Hello everyone!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uV8wkPZWuS8/T1jisQmssBI/AAAAAAAABBg/QRNoimfVVjs/s1600/Thank-You-Vintage-3.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uV8wkPZWuS8/T1jisQmssBI/AAAAAAAABBg/QRNoimfVVjs/s320/Thank-You-Vintage-3.gif" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I am feeling sort of rested in the last week and E went to bed early the other night and so I decided to get creative after putting a bit of order in my tiny little space.<br />
<br />
This is what I have created: a thank you vintage card. I was thankful to somebody at work and got inspired by the action of this person.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8EOAXUtr95I/T1jip1zunRI/AAAAAAAABBY/RMOdcKPk1X0/s1600/Than-You-Vintage-2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8EOAXUtr95I/T1jip1zunRI/AAAAAAAABBY/RMOdcKPk1X0/s320/Than-You-Vintage-2.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Materials are still some of the October Afternoon paper pads I still have with me... these are actually leftovers from another card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wBdIjq0EDKs/T1jivfCLNmI/AAAAAAAABBo/0FW1jk1fFxE/s1600/Thank-You-Vintage.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="336" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wBdIjq0EDKs/T1jivfCLNmI/AAAAAAAABBo/0FW1jk1fFxE/s400/Thank-You-Vintage.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used nothing else but paper, glue, dimensional and of course a bit of glossy accent. I learn how to use it from Lil Bee's Boutique and her great creations. Thanks for reading and I will be back with more from<a href="http://lilbeesboutique.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> Lil Bees Boutique.</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hugs.</div>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-74026395700638002382012-03-12T11:40:00.000-07:002012-03-12T11:40:12.231-07:00LuckyHello everyone! <div><br />
</div><div> I am definitely lucky to have a wonderful friend at work who is a good listener, patient and willing to give advice.This is a card for her. Thank You!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TdxXYIHssQY/T15BqtQ5_RI/AAAAAAAABB4/qmL5Ba9MYX4/s1600/Lucky-2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="351" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TdxXYIHssQY/T15BqtQ5_RI/AAAAAAAABB4/qmL5Ba9MYX4/s400/Lucky-2.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div> I also got the opportunity to use chipboard and cover it as you can see with an unusual material...felt. Crazy! but very simple and easy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SYoXHepEbsA/T15Bw-Vuk_I/AAAAAAAABCA/sjtS11k5IGQ/s1600/Lucky-3.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SYoXHepEbsA/T15Bw-Vuk_I/AAAAAAAABCA/sjtS11k5IGQ/s400/Lucky-3.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div> Make sure that when you cover your chipboard piece it is a piece you can get your scissors in all the corners other wise it won't be as clean and smooth and your chipboard piece will end up in the trash. </div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JcIEI9AkE8s/T15B1pmhazI/AAAAAAAABCI/4Di6PQrvLvI/s1600/Lucky-4.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JcIEI9AkE8s/T15B1pmhazI/AAAAAAAABCI/4Di6PQrvLvI/s400/Lucky-4.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div> I have used the <a href="http://lilbeesboutique.blogspot.com/2012/02/lil-bees-valentine-blog-hop.html" target="_blank">Lil Bees</a> Valentine's kit for the month f February. These were leftover from the designer paper from Western. Loved the colors of these.</div><div><br />
</div><div>Please give it a try (cover your chipboard) and let me know how it turns out. </div><div>Hugs!</div><div><br />

Hey everybody Spring is here and We are loving it!...well actually I am not sure Spring has started but it feels as if has.<br />
<br />
Here is my entry for the fab Lil Bees blog and this time I have focus on Chipboard. There are a number of thing you can do with Chipboard, from covering it with paper to cover with glossy accents. Here is my take of the Challenge. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tYWbK1mCl0o/T0YtXVjydnI/AAAAAAAABAI/shW8BeJpNeM/s1600/Spring-is-Here---Boots.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tYWbK1mCl0o/T0YtXVjydnI/AAAAAAAABAI/shW8BeJpNeM/s320/Spring-is-Here---Boots.gif" width="269" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For these cute boots I simply cover them with designer paper. I do not have the proper <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Basic-Grey-Precision-File-Set/dp/B0019LUEH8/ref=sr_1_3?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1329999567&sr=1-3" target="_blank">tools</a> Like the basic grey ones to give the chipboard a proper finish in stead I used a regular file and carefully finished the small areas. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8_lU-5MU8QU/T0YtfD7jnEI/AAAAAAAABAg/HZ6_BVa4Up4/s1600/Spring-is-Here---Letters.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8_lU-5MU8QU/T0YtfD7jnEI/AAAAAAAABAg/HZ6_BVa4Up4/s320/Spring-is-Here---Letters.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div> Chipboard letters are not hard to find. I have these for so long I have give them a good use. So here they are... the only thing I added to them was a green line with a thin green marker.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0i0tZskmVks/T0Ytir9G1NI/AAAAAAAABAw/XJBQK7WmNHI/s1600/Spring-is-Here--Wheelbarrel.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0i0tZskmVks/T0Ytir9G1NI/AAAAAAAABAw/XJBQK7WmNHI/s320/Spring-is-Here--Wheelbarrel.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This was the easiest. This wheel barrel was inked, literally with Stazon jet black ink. Great matte finish. Love it! Probably my favorite. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7RmocrBxSyg/T0YtnLRtNLI/AAAAAAAABBA/_vHdeItKxG8/s1600/Springis-Here---Tools.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7RmocrBxSyg/T0YtnLRtNLI/AAAAAAAABBA/_vHdeItKxG8/s320/Springis-Here---Tools.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">On these tools you can see shiny and matte effects. I used ink pad to color the handles red and I used embossing powder for the rest of the tool. Love it too. Now that I see all of them this way it is hard for me to decide which board technique I like. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Jfgy7fjL6eI/T0Y-vSrumeI/AAAAAAAABBI/sgq_OC2_lP8/s1600/Spring-is-Here-Layout-Bigge.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Jfgy7fjL6eI/T0Y-vSrumeI/AAAAAAAABBI/sgq_OC2_lP8/s400/Spring-is-Here-Layout-Bigge.gif" width="311" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is officially my fourth layout and I decided to use 8.5" x 11" size. for a few reasons. space reasons and also because I do not have a lot of my papers with me.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1ZnhrBqR7lI/T0YtaA6QQeI/AAAAAAAABAQ/6J8MhacYwno/s1600/Spring-is-Here---Chevron.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1ZnhrBqR7lI/T0YtaA6QQeI/AAAAAAAABAQ/6J8MhacYwno/s320/Spring-is-Here---Chevron.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">One last thing. I started to like doodling and the chevron design. There are a few designers out there using them and I thought I would give them both a try and here are the results. I am glad that you were able to stop by and I hope you can find inspiration and new ideas of how to use chipboards. Thanks for stopping by.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

You would not want to miss the candy. Western is a company I just got to know and I have to admit the paper is of great quality easy to combine with what you probably already have at home. I will stop now and I will let you go hop away.<br />
<br />

I hope you are doing just great. I have been busy been a mom and creating my first layout for Lil Bees's Design Team. So Here it is...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-96Y65cRxEYA/Tzduil8DSqI/AAAAAAAAA-k/vBwELxuL7T0/s1600/Saif-UL-Maluk-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="315" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-96Y65cRxEYA/Tzduil8DSqI/AAAAAAAAA-k/vBwELxuL7T0/s320/Saif-UL-Maluk-1.gif" width="320" /></a></div><br />
For this lay out I use Hero Art and Stampin' Up stamps. I use SU inks. Embellishments from Western's pages as well as the paper and glossy accents.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lFlwG_bjmB4/TzdurmZxPAI/AAAAAAAAA-s/YYAQNsszpKI/s1600/Saif-ul-Maluk-2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lFlwG_bjmB4/TzdurmZxPAI/AAAAAAAAA-s/YYAQNsszpKI/s320/Saif-ul-Maluk-2.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> I know.. this picture of us was taken looooong time ago, don't kill me I am just trying to catch up with my Scrap booking here.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Anyway, this is my entry for this week, I hope you guys continue having a restful weekend.</div>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-65460131259186388462012-02-05T22:34:00.000-08:002012-02-05T22:34:34.973-08:00Wonderful GrandmotherHello There!<br />
<div><div> I should have tittle this post "Grandmother<u>s"</u>... Emma has wonderful grandmothers and this is a card I made for one of them. She is very special and I know she will appreciate this card along with the pics we sent.</div></div><div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-c5iYZC7nlBI/Tm0ULlUD4HI/AAAAAAAAA04/8t2psu9E6V0/s1600/Wonderful-Grandmother.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="252" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-c5iYZC7nlBI/Tm0ULlUD4HI/AAAAAAAAA04/8t2psu9E6V0/s320/Wonderful-Grandmother.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oCBABGg3Lkg/Tm0USs4oXLI/AAAAAAAAA08/5YNroC2pxsQ/s1600/Wonderful-Grandmother-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oCBABGg3Lkg/Tm0USs4oXLI/AAAAAAAAA08/5YNroC2pxsQ/s320/Wonderful-Grandmother-1.gif" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We decided to stay and have Emma come to this world in Islamabad.We were by ourselves and we missed them dearly. Hugs to both of them. :( This was also a card that got lost in the mail... how frustrating this is becoming. I wish the postal service was more reliable.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Anyway... from the materials used I can't tell much since it is old paper I still have hanging around the house. I can tell you I used Stampin' Up Wonderful Favorites stamps set and ink as well as the inspiration from Kristina's template to make this card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hugs</div>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-64171110035372396792012-02-04T07:13:00.000-08:002012-02-04T07:15:11.346-08:00The Same...<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I discovered card making when I was very young and although I had no idea there were amazing products in the market I went ahead and created cards without them. It was difficult but that never stopped me. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> When I created this layout I was well aware of the products and I was able to acquire some. But it was with the help and inspiration of a friend that I created it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-my2ePKaI01U/TyzTdYucIkI/AAAAAAAAA38/qn_JtNvBBz8/s1600/La-Misma-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-my2ePKaI01U/TyzTdYucIkI/AAAAAAAAA38/qn_JtNvBBz8/s400/La-Misma-1.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">La misma means the same... I dont think I have change much and that is what this layout is about. Enjoy some of the pics I took. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--NRhLjZLwCc/TyzTnbF-DGI/AAAAAAAAA4M/gaz8vwf_0-s/s1600/La-Misma-2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--NRhLjZLwCc/TyzTnbF-DGI/AAAAAAAAA4M/gaz8vwf_0-s/s400/La-Misma-2.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Because this layout was created such a lont itme ago I can't really tell where the paper came from, the letters I cut myself, the pic was taken by my father and the journaling was done on computer. the little embellishments were also handmade from scratch. I remember how proud I felt of my actually very first layout.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Since I am part of a Little Bee's design team I can't wait to create more and demonstrate to myself I can create more than just cards.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gCFxVdyRyMs/TyzTrQgD1FI/AAAAAAAAA4U/Mw4SNDEtJX4/s1600/La-Misma-3.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gCFxVdyRyMs/TyzTrQgD1FI/AAAAAAAAA4U/Mw4SNDEtJX4/s400/La-Misma-3.gif" width="400" /></a></div>Hugs!<br />

There was no time for me to prepare anything before the big day so I made this card and sent it to her with other Pakistani goodies. Sadly the card and goodies got lost in the mail :( But I got to take a couple of pics of this card before sending it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F3ZG732QDPo/Tyv5H-rnLOI/AAAAAAAAA3s/jewuYxDh4Vo/s1600/To+Rica+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F3ZG732QDPo/Tyv5H-rnLOI/AAAAAAAAA3s/jewuYxDh4Vo/s400/To+Rica+2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used Kristina's template to create those great layers, I cut the heart shapes by hand with an exacto knife. I used Ranger's embossing powder and Cosmo Cricket from their UPCycle collection.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iEJZjeovvwU/Tyv5fkxKfkI/AAAAAAAAA30/eYA83IRqcd4/s1600/To+Rica.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iEJZjeovvwU/Tyv5fkxKfkI/AAAAAAAAA30/eYA83IRqcd4/s400/To+Rica.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Well, in spite all the busy schedule good things are happening around us. Baby E, is doing wonderful and we can't get enough of her.We have manage to become homeowners and learned a lot in the processes. We have been blessed this year.<br />
<div><br />
</div><div> I got to know Liz Gardner and <a href="http://www.mymemories.com/digital_scrapbooking_software">My Memories Suite 2</a>. Have you heard from it? It is a digital Scrapbooking Software. It was rated # 1 in Amazon.com and To Ten Reviews. I was invited to try it. I am usually not a scrapbooker but I have been trying to become one with the help of my friend Hana and her Little Bee blog. </div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FsV_hNccVfg/ToxYLxKh7EI/AAAAAAAAA1A/0fB_NeolB4Y/s1600/Emma-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FsV_hNccVfg/ToxYLxKh7EI/AAAAAAAAA1A/0fB_NeolB4Y/s400/Emma-001.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div>So, I made this Layout. It is officially my first digital layout. My knowledge of Photoshop is sadly very limited but with My Memories software is soooooooooooo easy to create pages. EVERYTHING you need to create your pages from embellishments to cropping your pictures. EVERYTHING! Check out their online store and find tons of ideas, great digital products and more.</div><div><br />
</div><div>So,they were very generous and provided me with a "<a href="http://www.mymemories.com/digital_scrapbooking_software">Share the Memories</a>" promo code for you guys to get a 10$ discount on the purchase of their software and a 10$ coupon for My Memories store.</div><div><br />
</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia;">So, if you wish to use this promo code.. here it is: </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: white;"><strong><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #cc0000;">STMMMS85157</span> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #616161; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Trebuchet, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"> </span></strong></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia;">(copy and pasted it to avoid mistakes) on their <a href="http://www.mymemories.com/digital_scrapbooking_software">website</a> and have fun! Wait! that is not all! I have tried it and they want one of my readers to try it too so they are giving a way a free software. So soon I will be posting instructions for you to play and have the chance to win the software.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia;"> In the mean time keep reading I will be back with more tomorrow.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia;">Hugs!</span></div><div><br />

<br />
Today I am posting an old card. I love this paper from My Mind's Eyes.Lots of patterns and colors. I still have tons from this collection and I don't think I will run out if it soon. Which gets me thinking about giving this paper a different use other than cards. I keep going through Pinterest and all the favorites people pin specially the DIY pins. It is amazing the amount of creative people out there in the world.<br />
<br />
When I created this card I was thinking of my fellow teachers and how thankful I am for their support and understanding in many ways. I am going to stop talking and let you enjoy. I apologize for the pics. They are not as great as they use to be when I was in Venezuela. Something to do with the time of the day I am takig my pics now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T5IqBDFyQLs/Tm0BYIFGyVI/AAAAAAAAA0w/EZB4bh9GUsg/s1600/Thank-You.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-T5IqBDFyQLs/Tm0BYIFGyVI/AAAAAAAAA0w/EZB4bh9GUsg/s320/Thank-You.gif" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nRcB-x-VGNQ/Tm0Bdi0_lEI/AAAAAAAAA00/9YsNAE79vHw/s1600/Thank-You1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nRcB-x-VGNQ/Tm0Bdi0_lEI/AAAAAAAAA00/9YsNAE79vHw/s320/Thank-You1.gif" width="271" /></a></div><br />
Hope you enjoy it. BTW do you have something in your mind that can improve the looks on this card? Please let me know and dropping a line or two.<br />
Hugs!Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-62585461525975630172011-09-10T07:56:00.000-07:002011-09-10T08:16:56.483-07:00Thank You StichedHello everyone!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v_y1lTbRtSI/Tmt5aRIrNJI/AAAAAAAAA0s/J5Ke9JX3SUY/s1600/Thank-You-Stiched-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v_y1lTbRtSI/Tmt5aRIrNJI/AAAAAAAAA0s/J5Ke9JX3SUY/s320/Thank-You-Stiched-1.gif" width="320" /></a></div> I am on a roll and I will tell you why in another post. But for now please enjoy this card I made. This is a stitched card using October Afternoon from the Modern Homemaker collection. I looooooove this pad.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H1xYdOJnWq4/Tmt5WBp6b2I/AAAAAAAAA0o/rNWOjaSBUFE/s1600/Thank-You-Stiched.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H1xYdOJnWq4/Tmt5WBp6b2I/AAAAAAAAA0o/rNWOjaSBUFE/s400/Thank-You-Stiched.gif" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I also used DMC 25 red and black to stitch the card and make it a bit different. I also used Inkadinkado All Occasions Stamps and Stampin Up Basic Black ink. The paper comes from the School House collection from October Afternoon.<br />
<br />
The lay out as you can see it was not my idea. If you go to this<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/starofmay/5182549185/in/set-72157615063510200"> link</a> you will see that I am still a fan of Kristina Werner hehehe... (sigh) Oh how I miss her challenges. That is why I am using her layouts a lot lately. It is a bit of a challenge to make other's ideas work in your cards and in you own style, don't you think?<br />
<br />
Come by tomorrow or so I will have more cards uploaded.<br />
HugsKarlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-41259481165699494912011-09-09T10:14:00.000-07:002011-09-10T08:07:25.365-07:00Nicest Thought<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello Everyone!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> I have not being able to stop using (actually trying to use) kraft cardstock for cards. I loooove how other designers like Kristina used it with versamark and created this cartoonish effect. Anyway, here is what I came up with. It took me a while to get this effect going (lack of material or bad use of it ;))</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YJGjx3lXP94/TlbdLimqFAI/AAAAAAAAA0I/5frj4jA3tQ8/s1600/DSC02448.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="333" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YJGjx3lXP94/TlbdLimqFAI/AAAAAAAAA0I/5frj4jA3tQ8/s400/DSC02448.gif" width="400" /></a></div>So the layout was an inspiration from Kwerner and the rest of the materials and tools <strike>will be posted tomorrow</strike>. My little girl, Emma, is asleep and I have to take advantage of it while I can. Hugs to everyone and thanks for reading.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PASaTwsNCJY/TlbdOkzlmUI/AAAAAAAAA0M/TH1-Muhe36s/s1600/DSC02418.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PASaTwsNCJY/TlbdOkzlmUI/AAAAAAAAA0M/TH1-Muhe36s/s400/DSC02418.gif" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used Versamark Ink pad, October Afternoon's Homemaker collection paper pad, Home Tweet Home stamps from My Little Shoe box, quite cute stamp! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Anyway, you guys have a wonderful rest of your weekend.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hugs!</div>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-90889788908124966822011-08-30T21:55:00.000-07:002011-08-30T21:57:39.197-07:00For Jamie<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello Everyone,</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My good friend Traci gave birth to a handsome precious little boy, Jamie, a few weeks ago. As usual I was late creating and sending the card. If you see this one and compare it to this <a href="http://thepapercaper.blogspot.com/2009/08/first-cards-in-foreing-land.html">one</a>... you can see a great resemblance in layout. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--eonGluMwIY/TlbZyo48WqI/AAAAAAAAA0A/RN0YA_fr75E/s1600/Baby-Boy-1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="282" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--eonGluMwIY/TlbZyo48WqI/AAAAAAAAA0A/RN0YA_fr75E/s320/Baby-Boy-1.gif" width="320" /></a></div><br />
This card is a combination of products...let me see if I can remember... Paper is from October Afternoon Modern Homemaker Collection, Stamps are from Hero Arts Baby and Playful Animal Set. I really like the colors for a baby boy card. what do you think?<br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We've have had our hands full. Full of work and Emma. Yes, our little girl keeps us busy right after school. we take turns to feed her, change her diapers and play with her. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My husband has been great with Emma and giving a hand. Always willing to help and sacrifice his down time for her. He is in love with Emma. It is a pleasure to see him with her from changing diapers to playing. Anyway, I made this card specially for him. There was a point this Summer when he got badly sick and needed a break and so I got him a gift card to a spa where he could chose a massage and relax.Yes, I tried to send him off to a relaxing journey.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TMLXGOyCtf0/TlbXgePzJcI/AAAAAAAAAz4/nUz47XtCktg/s1600/To+Tim+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TMLXGOyCtf0/TlbXgePzJcI/AAAAAAAAAz4/nUz47XtCktg/s400/To+Tim+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I was inspire by <a href="http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/?p=3407">this</a> card designed by Kristina Werner. Don't you love how creative she is? I wish she could continue with her Color Challenges. I use to have tons of fun with those.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3hWSF0SOcN4/TlbXiqj8ZjI/AAAAAAAAAz8/azwb_CDIZsY/s1600/To+Tim.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="312" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3hWSF0SOcN4/TlbXiqj8ZjI/AAAAAAAAAz8/azwb_CDIZsY/s400/To+Tim.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I used October Afternoon paper, Lawn Fawn' stamps, Stamping up ink, Maya Road Chipboard letters, Maya Road mist, American Crafts's rub ons.</span><br />

</div><div> I was suppose to make a lot of these cards to give to a lot of people during and after my pregnancy. Sadly it never happened. So here is one I made some time ago. Enjoy it!</div><div><br />
</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-onC6R2w34kU/ThBRHrvw1SI/AAAAAAAAAzY/6XsUqd-32Bk/s1600/CIMG7547.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-onC6R2w34kU/ThBRHrvw1SI/AAAAAAAAAzY/6XsUqd-32Bk/s320/CIMG7547.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br />
</div><div>So very small, very simple nothing-out-of-the-ordinary kind of card. BTW made with old tools and old Materials. I am almost embarrassed to mentioned them. So forgive me if I skip the materials and please enjoy the design.</div>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2354722502092117152.post-7319313165149586152011-06-30T03:52:00.000-07:002011-06-30T06:28:54.077-07:00Thankful<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Hello Everyone,</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It has been such a CRAZY year for me here. Teaching, getting to have the yearbook started, finish and published and being very much pregnant. Not an easy thing to keep up with creativity, cards, sleep, and bunch other things.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xQmQdTACpXo/TgxVFBy3k7I/AAAAAAAAAzI/oL_u7yNqlSc/s1600/Thanks.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xQmQdTACpXo/TgxVFBy3k7I/AAAAAAAAAzI/oL_u7yNqlSc/s320/Thanks.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I made these cards as part of a thank you small little thing for the yearbook club members. All students. We had a wonderful time finishing everything in a hurry. We got to use many digital kits from two peas. eat pizza during our breaks and watch Glee when there was no electricity.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tNpLDB1MZTs/Tgx590cPMWI/AAAAAAAAAzQ/fjXDmKs7YT0/s1600/DSC02014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tNpLDB1MZTs/Tgx590cPMWI/AAAAAAAAAzQ/fjXDmKs7YT0/s320/DSC02014.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Anyway, I have a few other pictures I would like to show you. Please bare with me as I tried to become a mother and keep my creativity up to part.</span>Karlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17040321548258766076noreply@blogger.com1
